Games at Valley Creek

The contractor and the engineers cannot move on without changing the access route into VC Park. The change will commence Wednesday Oct. 3. Access to both parking areas will be by way of turning at Spring Mills which is the first residential street south of the creek and south of the newly built road bridge. Travelers coming from the south on Pioneer will be directed by signs for “Valley Creek Park” to veer on to new pavement and onto the new bridge crossing over South Mesquite Creek. Additional signs will be placed to direct park patrons to either of the parking areas. Travelers coming down Pioneer from the north will see a sign for park access to make a “U” turn at Spring Mills and follow the signs. Travelers coming down Wilkinson will be directed to turn south onto Pioneer and make the “U” turn at Spring Mills and follow the signs. Exiting the park will be in reverse or in other words the same way out. No traffic will be allowed to travel any further north on new pavement on Pioneer from the north parking lot. Both parking lots will exit by way of the new pavement on Pioneer back to Spring Mills Rd. and make either left turns or right turns onto the old pavement of Pioneer.
